I went to China in April and on the first day, my camera rolled off the second floor of the pagoda and the lens broke. Yes, call me careless, I will admit it was a stupid mistake and I really regret it but what's done is done.

This is the lens(below) I am using now, it has no zoom function thus the need to buy a new one. 

I bought new watches too! They were really cheap in Chinatown. I'm on budget now so can't afford to splurge. WOOHOO HURRAY FOR 3 FOR $10!

Baking ahoy!

Just baked fruit cake with my mum! It's a pretty simple task! You just need to get eggs, brandy, sugar, dried fruits, flour and butter! See that jar down there? We soaked the dried fruits in the brandy, the longer, the better!

Cream the butter and the sugar together. I love this part! 

Excess butter on the wrapper can be used to oil the tin container! Re-use and recycle! 

After creaming the butter and sugar together, this is how it looks like. Totally spread-on-bread worthy.

Sift flour into batter.

Folding the flour in. If you want to add the brandy in to give the cake more flavor,  add it in after the cake is baked.
This prevents the cake from becoming too dry and losing its moisture and thus it won't taste like fruitcake anymore.

And popping it into the oven! I had enough batter for two! 

Taken using the iPhone not the DSLR so its more pixelated. But anyway I am really glad with the turn out and I will be bringing it to school tomorrow.
