Wanted to wear a reddish outfit to fit in with the theme of Christmas but I happen to have a shortage of red clothes thus I decided to go pink with this outfit. I did have a small bit of red on my nails!

Comfy in my clothes.

Outfit of the Day!

Hoodie from American Eagle Outfitters, Green layered shorts from Thailand, Studded ballet flats from H&M.

Was looking for a comfortable outfit for a dinner out at Ichiban Boshi(another post) and viola! Singapore has been quite cold this December, raining all the time thus I wore my new hoodie and in order to balance off the casual part, I paired this outfit with my studded flats giving the outfit a twist.

Honguo is a Chinese restaurant that serves Yunnan cuisine.

Really prompt and efficient service although the waitress spoke a little too quick in Chinese(maybe its just me).

Ordered their specialty 过桥面线 ( Cross bridge noodles ) It comes with 9/12/15 different kind of ingredients that you will pour into the steaming hot bowl of soup. After adding in all the ingredients, you will add in the the fatter version of bee hoon into the bowl and viola! You are done.

The soup is a tad peppery but you will get used to it. Overall, everything bless well together and makes a nice and warm meal for this rainy end of the year.

Delightful Desaru Part 2!

Pulai Desaru has one of the prettiest lift deco I've ever seen! I mean, just look at the pretty blue lights and the intricate mosaic(but reminds me of the toilet somehow). Sisters and me!

After all the racing around, we changed and walked over to the beach area at Lotus Desaru for some Parasailing! Walked and flew kites as we strolled there! :)

Can't see me but that was the parachute that I went on, so bright and colorful! Parasailing is indeed a very cool experience as you get to see the scenery from up high and when you look down, you can admire the sparkling ocean.

After that, we just played in the sea and at the beach, usual stuff, what people do at resorts.

Went to the hotel's in-house restaurant for dinner and the food was pretty good!

Goodbye Pulai Desaru!

Ended the trip with a good bak kuh teh meal!

And thats the finale for my trip! Till then.

Oreo Peanut Butter Brownies

Baked again! :-)
Made Oreo Peanut Butter Brownies. Wow such a mouthful. . .

Ingredients
• 1/2 cup of unsalted butter
• 1 cup of sugar
• 1/2 cup of flour
• 1/3 cup of cocoa powder
• 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder
• 1/4 teaspoon of salt
• 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
• 2 eggs
• 5 packets of Oreos(that come in threes)
• Peanut butter

1. Heat up the oven to 175 degrees Celsius. Beat the butter, sugar & eggs together in a bowl.
2. Beat cocoa powder in and beat flour in after sifting it.
3. Beat in salt, vanilla essence & baking powder.
4. Fill up 1/3 of each cupcake holder with the brownie batter.
5. Put half of the Oreo atop the batter in the holder and spread a layer of peanut butter on top of it.
6. Fill the holder with brownie batter but not to the brim if not the cupcake will overflow.
7. Bake it for 23-25 minutes. Poke it with a toothpick to ensure that it is baked thoroughly.

Enjoy your brownies and I hope you'll share the love too! ;-)

Cheese cupcakes.

Waiting for the sister at the dentist and its taking so long. Gonna buy my hamsters today! And on the bright side, it's the second last day of extended curriculum. :D not like it makes a difference anyway cos I'll be in school on Mon, Wed, Thur & Fri. My busy busy life. :-(

I made cheese cake cupcakes and here's the recipe!

227 grams of cream cheese
3 eggs
2/3 cup of sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
12 Oreos or 6 Digestive biscuits
1 tablespoon of butter

Crush up the Oreos or the biscuits using whatever method you like.
Place the crumbs into a bowl with melted butter and mix well.
Place one tablespoon of crumbs into each cupcake holder and put it into the fridge for about one hour.
Mix the cream cheese, vanilla essence, sugar & eggs together.
Dish out the mixture into the cupcake holders and bake it at 180 degrees for around 15 minutes or until the top is a golden brown depending on the size of your cupcake.
Sprinkle remaining crumbs onto the cupcakes and put it into the fridge after it has cooled down so that you can serve the cheesecake cold.
Enjoy:-)

Delightful Desaru Part 1.

Went off to Desaru, Malaysia this long Hari Raya Haji weekend and I had a blast.
Stayed at a resort called Pulai Desaru
and it was reallllly pretty! Had good facilities and the room was really spacious with a balcony.

The pool was near the beach and there was a kids slide which I went down too:P Kid at heart<3 p="p">
Love being in the water and in the sunlight:-) But one downside of the pool is that its really dirt because everyone goes from the beach to the pool and all the sand stays on the floor.

Preeeeettttty beach.

Had lunch at this pasar malam thingy at a public beach down the road and the Ramly Burger there costs $1SGD. Cheap and yummy. The mixed vegetables rice was more pricey and costed $5, in SG only $3.

Went to drive an All Terrain Vehicle(ATV) also at the public beach area. Feels like a motorbike with four wheels and its super duper fun! I love speeding and feeling the wind in my hair:P
Me in action and my mom screaming cos I went super fast. :D

to be continued :)

Maple Bacon Cupcakes

So.... Continuing on with my baking craze! I decided to bake cupcakes for my friends' birthdays on 12 and 15 September! I decided to try something new and super crazy(according to my friends), Savory cupcakes! Okay, not the whole thing but like parts of it.  Since everyone likes maple syrup and everyone likes bacon, why not merge it together? Sounds weird but it actually is really yummy. Thumbs up. Got the recipe from Rachell Tan but edited it a little.

Ingredients

130g Butter (softened)
3/4 cup Sugar
3 Eggs
4 tablespoons Maple Syrup
200g(1.6 cups) Self-raising flour
1/4 tsp Salt (optional if using salted butter)
4 strips Crispy Bacon

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius or 356 degrees Fahrenheit.

1. Fry the bacon and slice it up into smaller pieces as shown on the right!

2. Cream the butter and sugar together.

3. Add the eggs one by one and the maple syrup in.

4. Beat in the self raising flour and salt.
5.  Mix in the bacon bits.

6. Scoop the mixture into the cups and place them into the oven for around 15-20 minutes or until it turns golden brown.

Frosting's optional and in my opinion, it overpowers the cupcakes so don't put so much! Frosted mainly for decorative purposes.

Butter
Cream Cheese
Icing Sugar

Just beat all together and I don't really know the exact values of each!
If its not creamy enough, add butter.
If its not sweet enough, add icing sugar.

All packed up and ready to go! Enjoy it:)

My friend's view of Prince William and Kate Middleton. *Sobs* I was on the other side..
